'Twix the eyes

Nyx Fairweather volunteered for the showdown with Agnil Purvel, Clint Brook and Maxwell "Max" Holt walk him out to face his opponent.

The heroes prepare rolling high with 2 hope and 1 fear. A Galapaga steps in to officiate and explains the rules while Agnil gets a rifle from one of the four bandits.

  • Cer Rantix pickpockets a bandit's revolver and replaces it with an ice gun 🍌
  • Clint Brook prepares himself to fire upon the bandits at any sign of trouble
  • Clint rolls high on his Agility/Finesse and rolls a 32 to hit.

💥 As Agnil draws, Clint draws his rifle and shoots Agnil between the eyes who falls over and dies. The ice gun bandit draws the ice gun and attempts to fire upon Nyx. Clint takes a shot at him and misses. As the other bandits prepare to fight, Clint attempts to bind the ice gun bandit with magic and fails.

We then meet the Mayor as she blows away Clint's magic with her boomstick shotgun and interrupts any bandits. The players see two men flanking her, a red skinned Infernis wielding two Katana's and a human man with a Sheriffs star.

The Mayor breaks up the gunfight and the bandits leave.

Shopping Episode!

The order of events is a little hazy and might be out of order here

The heroes meet back up with Jessup and he asks them to deliver the Essentia heart to Jude. Maxwell's wife interrupts as she's looking for Maxwell who has disappeared. She fails to intimidate Cer Rantix and leaves. The heroes leave for Jude's alchemy lab.

The heroes meet Jude and realize that they aren't getting paid. They convince Jude to make some potions for them and successfully deceive him into thinking that Charlotte, Cer Rantix's disguised self, also needs potions. Jude identifies a possible Colossus sighting and explains that they are building a soul engine for a magical train that will help them deal with some bandits who already have a magical train. Nyx attempts to pawn his Essentia rocks and Jude explains that non-company members cannot have Essentia rocks and Cassidy can help them. Jude accepts one of three Essentia rocks.

When the players leave, they see Siegfried and he proposes they assist him with cheating at an upcoming poker tournament, splitting the winnings 2 for their 1. Clint and Nyx don't have experience but Cer Rantix agrees.

The party meets with Cassidy who fences the remaining 2 Essentia rocks from Nyx.

The heroes then meet up with Jessup who orders them train tickets and indicates that Maxwell has left a gift for them at the general store. The heroes take the opportunity to upgrade their weapons and armor to Tier 2, get a free consumable, and buy some items.

The heroes are intercepted by a young boy who uses his toy wooden gun to challenge Nyx. There is a light-hearted exchange and the boy leaves after giving them their train tickets.

The train-yard takes the hero's mounts for loading and the heroes board the train. On the train they meet the original train's bartender and his newest trainee - Marsha Tudor. Clint lies about Charlotte being possibly killed, then lied about her only being injured, then lied about a train doctor tending her wounds, to which Marsha attempts to comfort Clint and the party.

The players take a long rest and we end the session with 3/10-9 on the siphoning tracker and 12 fear.
